Mobile phone multimedia support
Details
Developed multimedia software and low-level drivers for 2G and 3G mobile-phone platforms built around a custom multicore integrated circuit with ARM7, ARM9 and DSP processors.
The multimedia driver structure was re-architected for use across multiple product platforms. Developed and integrated drivers for LCD displays, camera modules and multimedia companion chips, as well as supporting functions for I2C, GPIO, interrupt handling, power control, timers and inter-process messaging.
Additional multimedia work included progressive download and video streaming, FM-radio integration and ID3 metadata parsing. The resulting architecture supported multiple handset variants and hardware combinations without requiring a separate driver design for every product.
